things i learn

i feel there is always something to be learned from every session. sometimes it is technical, such as lighting or settings. other times, it is small, simple things. for example...

i learn that there is always a crowd pleaser in every family...betcha can't guess who in this family...




i learn that as a mom of three boys, i get my fix of girls by photographing little beauties like her...





i learn how easy it is to be baby hungry when i hang out with little ones like this...




and i learn how to contain twin boys for family pictures! i love these little guys!

i did a session with these little ladies this last summer, and now they are back for their fall pictures! i can't say enough about these wonderful girls, so i'll let the pictures show their super cuteness...

keepin it real

i should do an entire post on outtakes from my sessions. i love them dearly because they show real life (and they make me giggle). it's true, folks...the secret is out...things aren't always plums and fairies during a session.

i hope the parents don't mind if i post a few of these outtakes from their session as it displays perfectly what my friend kirstynn calls "keepin it real."


oh, and i had to add some "real" ones in as well. you know...to keep up appearances and all...

seniors and love

hmmmm...my title was actually referring to more senior pics and a wedding, but as it seems the love part will work for both...

remember these two seniors from my last post? well, i showed up to r's session and he informs me that my next session after him was with his girlfriend of two years! what the?!?!? i couldn't wait to meet her as i was so excited to tease her about her boyfriend! they were both so fun, super cute, and willing to do any of the crazy things i asked them to do... a match made in heaven.
